Shot in the dark here. Does anyone have any recommendations for a professional level wedding band that can play country music really well - preferably with at least a sprinkling of Texas country in there - but will also do some of your "party music" favorites from pop/classic rock/rap genres?

Unfortunately TUB is booked already on our date (October 12).

(Cross-posting with Houston board, as I live in College Station but the wedding is closer to Houston.)

Crossroads Band fits your description, for the most part.

Do you mean country music from the early 90s and before or the Bro-country you hear on the radio today?

This young man sang at an event I was attending, and he was amazing. He's from Rockdale or Milano area. Music | Tylar Bryant

Jody Bartula and the Barflies

Jody is the fiddle and guitar player for Cody Johnson and the CJB. They played my wedding. They play the dingers with a lot of 90s country.

Jody is crazy talented on fiddle and guitar. I've seen him a bunch doing two man shows with random people like Roger Creager and William Clark Green.

I'd go with Billy Mata. Plays wedding and does a fantastic job.

There it is. I knew his name but couldn't find the band. Weren't they called Peaches and Cream or something a few years ago?

Would imagine their open dates would be extremely limited.

Jody Bartula is an excellent choice.

Also "The Wilder Blue" which is Zane Williams' new band. Paul Eason on guitar. They are really incredible. They do a lot of songs you won't hear other bands attempting due to the fact that everyone in TWB can sing, like, really well. Stuff like Seven Bridges Road or Black Water (Doobie Bros).

Love Zane and The Wilder Blue but I can't imagine that would be in our price range.

I feel like those (fairly) but time recording artists would have to be well up into the 5 figures.

You'd probably be surprised.

Idk how much of a premium TWB pulls now, but we (church) had them play an event a couple years ago. They did a great job.

Google Keith Hickle. I went to high school with him and he puts on a great show. He played my sister and brother in law's wedding reception with another picker. All the good 90s songs. Great show. I think he can get a full band together. He lives in New Braunfels now but travels all over.

Another great option is Josh Tiemann in La Grange. He's a firefighter full time and plays on the side. Pretty much any cover you can think of. And he does full band shows.
