I am headed to Aggieland today with a 17 yr old foreign exchange student. Tomorrow, I will add a 13 yr old nephew to the mix.

We plan on going to watch the Ags beat LSU tomorrow night.

Any other things we should do? Both love sports and outdoors.

Any good fishing spots?

Alas not much in the way of fishing holes, unless you know someone who lives on one of the private lakes.

You can try your luck at the pond behind the Bush Library, and I think I saw some fishing signs at the pond over by the HEB on Wellborn.

Lake Somerville has been good for many folks, about 30 minutes west of here.

Lick Creek Park has some nice hiking trails.

Aggie Park, fish there. Walk through campus. If he's a 17-year-old boy, he will appreciate any college coeds walking around!!

Go grab a bite downtown Bryan and walk around or take him to Northgate for a burger at the chicken. Think like a teenage boy!

Aggie Park is probably the nicest looking place to fish, although I've never fished there to be able to report on the fishing itself.

Central Park is due for another rainbow trout stocking today. That may be fun.

You can stand on the shore or on the bridge to fish one of the 500 Largemouth Bass that populate the lake
