Is that place ever busy? Went there for lunch and we were the only customers for about 15 minutes at noon... then one other guy came in... and someone picked up a lunch... and that was about it for the lunch crowd...

I thought it was shut down for the first few years I lived here. Never hear anything about it.
I went there once. Ordered food at the counter. Waited like 30 minutes for it to come. Was average at best. I don't get waiting that long for food that's already cooked. And if I'm waiting that long for BBQ it's gotta be pretty damn terrific
Not to derail but I was in Houston today and stopped at Brisket House in the Galleria area and it was so so good. I might have to start driving down there just for that Brisket!

Years ago Martin's was spoken highly of on TexAgs but now no one ever talks about it.
In the ~30 yrs I've lived here I have been there 2 times. Neither visit compelled a return nor explained the business longevity. Great historical story, but not getting a lot of my $$.
My buddy and I went there last year. Bbq was dried out and not good. We won't go back.
