Anyone have a vet they'd recommend for cats in College Station? I need to take a couple of kittens to their first checkup in the next week, and Aggieland Humane Society gave me a certificate for a free visit (the visit itself, not any shots or anything) that lists probably every vet in town (College Station, Bryan, and a few further away).

I thought I'd see if anyone has a vet they think is good, especially if you have cats and if it's someone in College Station.

In Bryan, but Boonville Animal Hospital has my vote, hands down. They have the best staff and always take wonderful care of our pets. Can't recommend them enough.

He is enjoying retirement, but the practice lives on with several Aggie vets!

We have used Van Stavern and Wellborn Road Vet and had good results with both.

Anyone have recommendations for vets that are open at least part of Saturday? (or have their own on-call emergency number, but I don't think any of them do anymore) so that , in case a pet gets sick over the weekend, it's actually possible to reach your own vet and not just "call Aggieland Small Animal Hospital" in case of anything on a weekend.

I don't need to always go on a weekend but it's nice to have the option. I think when I was a kid, our vet's office had some Saturday hours but it seems to be less often here/now.

Dr. Bay bought the practice when he retired. He gave her his blessing to keep the name of the clinic.

Wellborn Road Veterinary Medical center has Saturday hours but also after hours emergency services. Been using them about 20 years now.

Is Highway 30 Vet Clinic good? They are really close to my house.

I've used them before and been happy. Dr. Gary Lackey passed away recently, but the new(er) doctor that is there is very nice and thorough IMO.
