Police swat team just barreled up 2818 and headed south on Welch. Two armored cars, plus several police vehicles and an ambulance. Three decked out (not military or police experienced, so excuse my lack of proper language) team members in helmets, camo, rifles hanging out the back of one of the armored cars.

Probably just a drill but if anyone hears different, I'd be curious to know what's happening.

I saw it as well. Doubt it's a drill. Possible. But I wouldn't think they would do that at that intersection at 8:00 a.m. with full escort. Plus they shut down the sirens as soon as they turned on Welsh. I would assume that was for a nearby approach.

My neighbors on Ring are saying they heard a couple small explosions (likely clearing a door) and that they have San Pedro blocked off.

Rusty says they are serving an arrest warrant. No other details.

Do you think when they're barreling up the road they have the theme song to the 70's tv show 'SWAT' blaring? Would be pretty cool if they did.

I never missed that show as a kid.

That theme was pretty popular at high school pep rallies back in the day...yes, i'm an old.

Holy crap! That would be a great stand tune for high school bands!
