My wife was prescribed Wegovy but can't find any local pharmacies that have it in stock. She's was prescribed a low dose which is part of the reason it's hard to get. Curious if anyone here knows any local pharmacies that might have it. TIA!

Have you looked into a compounding facility? My wife takes a similar injectable and her doctor told her of three compounding facilities to look at. It's a thought and something she might ask her doctor about.
Compounding Wegovy isn't Wegovy. It's the salt not the base. I'd avoid injecting a Chinese knockoff in myself.
Not sure where the Chinese Knock Off comes from, my wife has used a firm in the Woodlands and one in Round Rock and they are not Chinese.EBrazosAg said:

Good luck. Hard to find. The problem is even if you find the lowest dose you still need to be able to find the next two steps up before you get to the ones that are usually in stock.
Happened to me in the spring. Got the .25 and then the next month the .5 and then everything went on backorder and could never get the 1 dose. My understanding is the top two doses are readily available. Now I have been off so long I have to start from scratch.
Someone told me BCS Pharmacy but they have a big backlog as well.
The company told me it should be better in the fall, but it is not. Frustrating because it was working for me.

Any compounded semiglutide that isn't weygovy or ozampic is from China or another Asian country and is not the same chemical as in the name brands.

Same problem when I was looking in the spring. No for Amazon, Express Scripts and any pharmacy in town. There is a nationwide shortage. Really if you can't guarentee to get the 3 months of lower doses in a row is it even worth starting?wadd96 said:

Novo has production capacity issues. They are limiting production of the starter, lower doses because they can't assure they would have enough drug to meet demand of the higher escalated doses. Lilly is building multiple facilities to produce Monjuaro and whatever the weight loss version of that will be called. That should relieve some supply pressures- but in the end building quality drug production takes time and the companies have been caught off guard by the success of the products.
Novo sent an email this week that they expect the production issues to be resolved "soon". Glad I dumped some cash into their stock a bit over a year ago at $65 a share when I was on Wegovy!
