Wanting to get my wife a gift card for a massage. Any recommendations?

Not really a "best." All depends on what kind of experience she's wanting. More pampering/spa like, therapeutic, etc.

If she wants a pampered experience, you've got Galleria, French Door, and many others. For something more therapeutic, you've got Elements, Massage Envy, Peace At Hand, etc. There are tons. Usually it's more about the specific therapist than the place they work at. Somewhat similar to how it is with hair stylists, massage therapists tend to move around quite a bit.

My wife has been to Galleria several times and loved it. It's a yearly Christmas gift.

The newly opened Woodhouse Spa (Lakewalk) is on the list for my wife.

I've used Woodhouse Spa in Austin and went to the one here for a facial and a massage. I felt the quality was very good and the experience was good as well. I've been to Lake Austin Spa and other nicer spas and I felt like my services ranked up there with some of the nicer spas.

Going to the Lake Walk spa followed by a nice meal at the hands of Chef Tai next door sounds like a mighty fine way to treat that special someone!

If y'all want a high quality massage that is cheaper than going to an actual day spa. I highly recommend Emma Anderson. She's absolutely incredible and is running a special now for Christmas. She's the best in town at what she does so if a quality massage is the pure focus, she's your best bet.
