What's your nomination for conversion to lane change allowed markings - since no one ever follows the solid line and it's never enforced? I'd put the Briarcrest bridge Eastbound over Hwy 6 AND Harvey Rd Westbound under Hwy 6 as a tie. I have probably watched both violated hundreds of times and never sees any LE action. Anywhere else in town ?

In TX, it is legal to change lanes/pass on a solid white line.

It is not legal to cross double solid white lines.

I was todays old when I learned that. However - why discourage ? Make it ok. Or not.

Wanna learn something else? If you are on a 2-way street with a continuous "turn lane" with a solid yellow outside/broken yellow inside, it is legal to pass as long as the lane is not posted left turn only, and it is safe to pass.

May be legal to cross a solid white line, but it is discouraged. It's there for a reason.

When you say cross double... You mean entering from a side road and making a left hand turn, correct.

You can never cross a double solid white lines when merging, or cross those lines to make a right turn onto a side street. correct?

Not sure what you're asking about on the entering or turning. You're second part is correct.

If you are entering a roadway from a side street or driveway, if there is a double line, you should have an acceleration lane. Turning left, you still can't cross a double line. The line closest should be broken.

the order is 3,1,2

If you don't know that please turn in your DL to dps and uber. thanks and gigem.

(you yield to the right, also to the person making a left turn in front of you)

2,3,1.

2 is moving straight with no stop sign or yield sign; whatever that signage is it's not a stop or yield sign.

3 is turning left while on that same street with no stop sign or other signage so they yield to oncoming traffic

1 is entering the through street on a left turn with a yield sign

Incorrect.
2,3,1
Person turning right has ROW followed by person turning left.
Person on intersecting road goes 3rd.

Those folks should just work it out on their own.

Clearly you haven't taken into account HOW LONG the cars have been waiting there. If you've been waiting more than 30 seconds, you obviously have the right of way. I don't care what they law says.

Or at least that's what drivers in this town seem to think.

So I guess you'll be turning in your DL then?
