The internet cable attached to the side of my house in Bryan is about to rip off the side of the house. The line is currently only about 5' off the ground at its lowest point. I am guessing that the line they originally installed was too short to begin with and over time the tree branches near the utility pole have grown and are putting additional tension on the line. I called Optimum (formerly Suddenlink) and scheduled an appointment for them to come out and fix it. They showed up this morning and only spent about 30 seconds on-site. They looked at the line attached to the house, did not even bother to walk to the back corner of the property to look at the line connected to the utility pole and simply stated "It's all trees and we don't trim trees." That was it and then he left. No follow-up meeting and no plan of action to resolve the issue.

This exchange seemed pretty on-brand for Optimum/Suddenlink, so I guess I am not really surprised. Does anyone have experience with an issue like this or possibly have a good contact at Optimum that can actually help?

Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated.
