I love me some Pepe's breakfast tacos and I know they are a B/CS tradition/staple but could we PLEASE get this guy some help? The last few times we have tried they are randomly closed, or today they have one lady working her butt off by herself. 25 minutes, in the drive through since the dining room is closed, for 8 breakfast tacos. (There was one car waiting on front of me.)

Kip's gotta have a day off sometime. I'd imagine someone didn't show up for their shift.
Used to eat at Pepes often but it just kinda fell outta my rotation but then ate there after a long time on Thursday and really enjoyed the food.
I only got a basic steak taco and chips and queso but just that was comfort food to me and I remembered why I used to eat there so much. I'll try to go more regularly to help em out.

We love Pepe's… but I refuse to eat there until they clean the place up. Wish they'd spend a little and get it going again.
They spent a good bit redoing the inside last year. The bathrooms are the only thing that didn't get a facelift.
Went the other day for lunch and they said thru the drive thru they were closed. Even though staff was inside. Odd

And yet I've never seen the "new" interior, the last 3 times we have gone during normal operating hours they were:
1. Closed and dark with no information.
2. Closed and dark with "No staff" note on door.
3. Door locked but car in drive through. Went through drive through, waited 25 minutes for 8 breakfast tacos and ate outside. (Told only one worker present) 2 separate groups pulled up and tried to walk in but left when we informed them of the situation.
We've been inside many times but we have Pepe's for lunch nearly every Tuesday
I like Pepe's. Been eating there almost one a week (sometimes more often) since 1973. The food quality seems better, but the service slower over the last year. I know Kip has faced several obstacles starting with the COB practically shutting him down while rebuilding that section of S Collge, then Covid, and now labor shortages. IMO, Pepe's has two menu items that rival the best sit-down restaurants. Their queso and guacamole are second to none.
They need to solve their staffing issues.

last time I went, ordered 2 chicken fajita tacos. Got previously frozen processed chicken. So good luck to them .
It was good last time I went there in the 1980s.
