So what's up with BCS being the Bermuda Triangle for Christmas deliveries? No Amazon Prime till December 28th? Another company ordered from now saying may get or not now when ordered on time as requested. Know super sleuths here will get to bottom of this… Happy Holidays!

Prime has been like this for quite some time now. It used to be two day or even sometimes next day. Now you're lucky if it's in the same week.

I ship packages USPS almost every day for my small business. Weirdly, packages shipped on December 9 have been hung up in Houston for eleven days. The official explanation: "We're ten days behind".

I'm not having issues with things going through Houston but Dallas and Beaumont have been awful for about a month.

I don't order a ton of stuff on Amazon but it is typically in my hands within 2 days. I've even received some items next day, before this week! This was a real bummer to discover on Monday morning. Yet I could have it shipped to family in one of the big cities for delivery tomorrow. Their loss, easier to shop local.

I ordered a gift for my nephew 2 weeks ago. It was shipped UPS from New Jersey. It got to Houston in 3 days and then was handed off to USPS. 3 days later it made it to Bryan where it sat for 2 days before being sent to Brenham. 2 days later it was sent back to Bryan where it sat for a couple of days before being sent to Dallas where it has apparently disappeared. Called the company a few days ago and they sent me another one which apparently is arriving today. When shipments get handed off to the USPS strange things happen.

Amazon has been taking days to actually ship anything out then you have to add one to two days to the shipping time because of USPS.

We live at the end of the USPS route. If they haven't gotten to our house by 8 pm, they call it a day. Then they start their route in the normal spot the next day. We might go two or three days without mail. I have had numerous conversations with the Post Master. They just don't care, but no one can tell me why they don't just start the day at the place they called it a day. I really don't care about them being understaffed that has nothing to do with it. They are making an operational decision to not make delivery to specific addresses.

Yep. I got an email from Amazon over the night that a package that was scheduled to be delivered Dec 21 now states Dec 28 or 29. I will just return it when it gets here and now get something else locally.

I had a CD size envelope mailed to me with USPS from LaPorte. It went to Midland, Abilene, Dallas, N. Houston distribution center, Houston 77032 facility, back to N. Houston distribution center, then finally to College Station and then delivered to me. No wonder they lose billions of dollars.

They don't care. We also go for days without mail sometimes.

They go full on Newman when it rains as well.

We're having Amazon shipments to my moms house in Bryan. Stuff gets there 3-4 days faster than to our house in CS.

USPS in college Station has been discussed here often.

Yep. We sometimes go 2 days without mail and the CS postmaster doesn't give a *****

It's ok.

They make up for it by giving us somebody else's mail.

I mentioned this before but for some reason it got deleted. It's an open secret, but in the next few months the Bryan and College Station Post Offices will be combining delivery operations into the large Bryan post office. The retail operation for College Station will remain, but mail delivery will soon be from Bryan.

Ordering something today, with Prime, and it says "2 days once shipped". Doesn't even give a date when it will ship, even though it says they have stock and more than enough to fill my order.

Maybe it is just due to the holidays. See how it looks next week if I order something then.

Is it coming from Amazon or a third party seller/shipper?

That's so weird.

Everything I ordered last week has been delivered ahead of their estimate this week.

I ordered 3 items from Amazon on Monday and all three are scheduled to be here tomorrow.

Also, ordered from Zappos yesterday and that order is supposed to be here tomorrow. We shall see.

Sometimes it depends on what warehouse it's being shipped from. If from a Texas warehouse it seems to get here faster.

I had 4 gifts arrive a week late. Everyone has already left and received nothing but a picture of said gift.

I have two orders of pictures from Shutterfly that had projected deliveries for before Christmas when they shipped. Their last known location was Carrollton, Tx one scanned Monday, one scanned Tuesday before Christmas.

They haven't been scanned or reported anywhere since UPS transferred them to USPS.

An item ordered a week and a half ago has been near Dallas for a full week. Amazon told me they consider it lost. But since I ordered the replacement, I'm sure it will show up now.
