My doctor is gone for basically the entire summer. I was searching on MyBSWHealth for a new doctor who had an appointment as soon as possible, and one came up for tomorrow *IF* I clicked "office visit/established" (which the system DOES give me the option to click). If I click "new patient", there aren't any appointments for several weeks.
My question is, does this mean an established patient at BSW, or an established patient with this specific doctor? Does my info transfer so I count as established?

I say go for it. The system is allowing it, so if the doctor doesn't like it, they can take it up with the hospital system. I'd think this is pretty common unless it's some highly specific practice. Doctors go in vacation, but people still need treatment.

If you want a solid answer, just call the office and see what their policy is. If you are seeing a different provider in the same office, it shouldn't be a problem. All your information is in the system for them to pull up.

You are not a new patient. Being a new patient triggers a longer visit to collect medical history. You are in the system already. That being said, if you decided to all out switch providers because you don't like your pcp that's another thing. If you're at all concerned just call the appointment line.

If the doc is in the same discipline as your current doctor ( family medicine) for example, you would not be new. You would be considered an established patient
