has anyone on here bought steaks and/or chicken from these people?

heard the ad on the radio and went by to check it out today, but didn't buy anything. would need to free up a good deal of space in the freezer, but I was also hoping to hear from someone else regarding the quality of the meat and whether or not they felt like they got a good deal.

We did years ago. Paper thin ribeyes are good for making Philly Cheesesteak sammiches. Not good for much else. The other meat is more expensive and not a great deal for what you get.

Stay away. The ribeyes are a joke. Super thin and don't look like any ribeye I have ever purchased in a store.

I went to check them out 3 years ago when they were at the mall. They have a scheme so if you have a little time to play along you can get a fairly decent deal. The 20 ribeyes are terrible, paper thin and i ended up throwing them out. I guess if you can figure out how to tenderize them then they could be used for something. If you play hard to get they are selling alot of other cuts and the more you are reluctant the more boxes of meat they will keep adding. They even asked me if i had any veterans anywhere in my family so I could get 10% off. Their main scheme is the truck is full of cases made up of around 8 boxes of different cuts which in the end they will sell to you for about 110.00. Made be a little more now. The sign says it should cost like 350.00. They want to move the cases. The T-bones, chicken, fillets, New York Strips were pretty good. I loaded up the freezer and ate them for a long time. The 20 ribeyes are just a hook to get you to stop by.

Thanks for the detailed report.

Yeah it smacks of the old white van scam. Interesting that the real product is pretty good.

They are parked up on Texas Ave too, just before you get to Coulter heading north.

I only buy meat from the butcher or brand that I have used, know and trust. Or just get free meat that is given to me from family.
