How long do you want to ignore this user?
Do y'all use your own set up, or the combo router/WiFi one from Suddenlink? I have the Suddenlink one and it's fine, but just doesn't extend very far.

I would like to set up my own mesh network but am technically illiterate so I'd need help from someone who has successfully put one together. I have a 2500 SF one story home.

Thanks in advance!

Definitely buy your own modem from Walmart and the mesh router system.

They are really much easier than they used to be to setup. I think you have my cell number. I have the 2 Orbi system which I did myself in a 1 story house of similar size.

So you need a docsis 3.1. Modem similar to this:

NETGEAR Orbi Whole Home Tri-band Mesh WiFi 6 System (RBK752) Router with 1 Satellite Extender | Coverage up to 5,000 sq. ft. and 40+ Devices | AX4200 (Up to 4.2Gbps)

I bought my arris modem from Amazon. Suddenlink has a list of the approved Arris modems on their website. You save $10 a month with your own modem. I also bought an eero wi-fi 5 mesh router from Amazon. Our house is 2,300 sq ft. I use all 3 nodes and have good coverage everywhere. Easy set up

We also use the eero mesh system with our suddenlink-provided arris and coverage is excellent!

I would not pay Suddenlink a monthly rental fee when you can buy for less than one year's cost.

Suddenlink only provides it free if you have their phone service.
