Looking for someone to cut down 15 or so palm trees that died from the freeze. Only 2 survived

Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Update: I found a few recommendations here after searching Texags that I didn't find searching google.

Hopefully one of these will be much more reasonable than the companies who have came to bid. If not I guess I'll have to hire some help and do it myself .

Currie Landscaping did mine. Reasonable and did a great job. Gave me option to cut at ground level or grind stumps.

Bullpen, if you don't mind me asking what do you consider reasonable? I have 2 I need to take down and my quotes are well over 1k for both which to me seems high.

Are you in bcs too? How tall are yours? Is that price to cut, take the palm with them and grind?

I use him for a lot of stuff, so I may be getting some preferred pricing, but he will be cheaper than what you've had bid so far.

Update: very pleased with Rafael and his son so far!!! Def recommend to give him a shot. He was the best value by far out of everyone I called/came to bid the job. His number is: 979-676-5018. Tell him the guy you are cutting palms trees for today highly recommended him.

Are they insured and bonded? Mine is close to house.

You'll need to confirm with him. Honestly I didn't even ask him. I went based on the reviews here....

All ours were at the back of the house, around a pool and fence. I would rate the job a 9-10 on difficulty based on location around house,pool, and fencing....and he did an excellent job. No problems.

I am super happy with the value I got using him! Both his son and him are excellent workers and do exactly what they say they will do.

From my experience, that is way too high. Call Colby with Top Point Tree and at least get a quote. I had them cut down several big trees in the Fall for less than that, including the stump grinding.

Rafael and his son are hard workers, but on two occasions when they didn't completely finish, they assured me they would come back the next day. Despite numerous texts and assurances that they would be back 'tomorrow' or 'Saturday', 5 months later, they haven't come back to finish a job for which they were paid in full.

I had this experience last year and when I lived here full time in 2016. but given that people still recommend them, thought it might be an isolated event. Unfortunately, despite having been paid in February of this year for new work, they haven't been back.

Very frustrating.

Sorry to hear. Have you tried calling to talk instead of text? Just let him know the issue and that you used him based on texags reviews and would like him to finish what you already paid for.

This was my first time using him and I had no issues.....they went above and beyond and def had the best value in town.

I know he went to bid my neighbors after finishing our job and told him he would come Tuesday....just saw him out there working like he said he would.

I would try to get in contact with him again...

Rafael and his son are very hard workers and very reliable, they recently replaced all of our fencing and took care of all the landscaping after the winter break!

I'm quite suprised he would not return to finish the job, they have been taking care of our rentals for a few years now and have never had any issues with them.

Do any of the above recommendations do a good tree trimming of branches for overall tree health? Basically trimming them up and getting rid of low growth so the tips can get what they need for the tree to be healthy long term? I'm struggling with a couple post oaks that I think would do well if they had some lower level fluff thinned out.
