I have a fly trap that came with packet in it that you mix with water. It worked great. but now I need to pour it out because it is full. What is the best fly trap liquid recipe to put back in it? TIA

Thin layer of Dawn detergent at the bottom of a cup. 1-2 drops of vinegar on top of the Dawn. Fruit flies will be drawn to the vinegar and get stuck in the Dawn.
You can also cover the cup with plastic wrap and poke a couple small holes in it.

2 Tablespoons sugar
1 Tablespoon liquid dish detergent
Mix well, fill trap, keep the rest in a tightly sealed jar.
Works equally well for house flies and fruit flies

Put a raw shrimp in it. I am assuming you have a re-usable one that fills with water. In 1 week it will start trapping as good as the bait powder.
