Where locally, would one obtain styrofoam like found in drink coolers? Thinking of making a custom cooler for our wedding venue.... I can glue sheets together...

I dont think the tyvek stuff they sell for wall insulation would work... those are usually chemically treated..

and I dontthink hobby lobby's is the right density... too crunchy..

Spray foam?

Order some Omaha Steaks, they will ship the meat in Styrofoam containers.

It's not local, but try McMaster-Carr

Check with the College of Ag. I know semen is shipped in styrofoam coolers and usually not reused.

Lowe's actually sells styrofoam insulation. I use it for deer blinds and I think it's probably what you are looking for.

I had a copper trough I reformed the bottom some and put a drain in the center then built a cedar surround for it.

I filled the void with spray foam.

FYI (not that I did this hand had to redo the whole thing) If you use foam make sure you get the kind for "windows and doors" as the regular foam will put quite a bit of pressure on the walls of whatever you are using.
