The wife and I are looking to re-do our kitchen and a couple of bathrooms. Who do you recommend that could handle these jobs?

Bathroom - it would be things like taking out the current shower stall and installing a more modem one. Probably taking out both vanities and replacing them, or at least replacing the countertops. And prob taking out the cultured marble jetted tub and putting in a new one, or at least a new structure. Possibly re-doing the tile floor

Kitchen - prob would be taking out the flooring and cabinets and replacing those with new items.

I don't know your financial situation, but you're staring down 40k-50k for each of those jobs. My first guess would be to realistically look at what you can do yourself with some labor assistance.

Youtube is a goldmine of people redoing these types of things and detailing everything.

Doing a bathroom right now. It's not hard. Even replacing drywall, tape and floating etc. Total gut job. It takes time but easy. Need to mention also had to cut out porcelain tube.

We are doing all that right now.

I've personally never done one over 25k and that involved a total gut to studs from a shower leak, major ,plumbing relocating and really expensive fixtures

EDIT: Recommendation retracted.

I used Joel Gonzalez with Texas Custom Painting when a pipe burst in the kitchen ceiling. (Thank God I was home and was able to turn the water off quickly. They were able to take down the cabinets, redo the ceiling drywall and and painting and put the cabinets back up. Great job. As soon as I go back to working at work vs from home I plan to get a quote from him for a couple more projects.

50k for a bathroom remodel? It must be nice to have a 1200 sq ft bathroom in your house.

Have you found a contractor yet? If not you should consider my boyfriend that is a stone, tile, granite and marble contractor. You can see pics of his work in Barton Creek on Facebook at K&S Craftsmen on FB and you can message him there too.

I'm not gonna lie, he could really use the work right now. Not too many remodel jobs in the middle of a global pandemic. He takes extra safety precautions too because I'm in the 'at-risk' category.
