We are moving back to the CS/Navasota area and need a builder for a barndominium and metal home. Any recommendations?

What is the lifespan on a barndo? We are looking at either expanding the ranch house or a separate barndo and mixed opinions on durability.

What have been the pros and cons that you have heard re durability?

I would look into one of these guys if it were me.

I live in one. It was built by the previous owners (literally...not contracted out). Ours is a stand-alone house without an attached shop/barn.

Regarding durablity...ours is about 4 years old. We've been here 2 years, so I can't speak for long-term, but I love living in it. We have a much bigger and nicer than we could have afforded in a traditional home. The maintenance is practically zero. Our energy bills are suprisingly low.

How far from BCS will you travel ?

We travel within an 80 mile radius of the BCS area.

Limestone County ?

Thanks for that info JM. Wife and I are looking to build before to long on our property between Reagan and Kosse.

Depending on where youre at in Limestone County we would build there.

Any outcome on this? What were your experiences so far? I might be looking into one in the near future.
