We used to always take the dog to Blackwater and sit on the patio, now we are looking for a new place to hang out since they've closed. Any good recommendations?

Torchy's is our favorite. Harvey Washbangers is another one and I think the new RxPizza may be. Kinda wish Mad Taco hadn't stopped doing it.
Totally agree on Mad Taco! We love that place and wish the pups could come along with us.

Apparently one of the best patios in town, Ozona Grill, doesn't allow dogs. But, last weekend a guy at the bar had a dog there - no service dog vest - so maybe it's now OK.

I've seen something similar at Mad Taco where somebody showed up not aware of the new policy, they let it go that time but nothings really changed. I wouldn't be surprised if the same happened at Ozona and they let it go rather than make a big deal about it.
Blue Baker on Dominik has a quaint outdoor patio that allows dogs.
While I don't intend to cause another discussion about paying for parking, Porter's is dog friendly. They have a nice, big patio that is covered, and ussually has a nice breeze.
Both Downtown Uncorked and Villiage Cafe allow dogs on their patios, but space is pretty limited.
