Me and my buddies are looking to join the league. Has anybody played in it and have thoughts on the league? Also how many players are on a team? The website didn't say so I plan on calling them later.

The league is fun, but was definitely more fun several years ago. As of late they have really screwed around with the league levels and made it almost impossible for a true rec league team to be able to have fun or win. Most true rec league teams will get destroyed most of the time in the current league structure. They put teams that have competitive level players in the same league as first time teams and beer league level teams. They have no way of actually ranking the level of teams and don't typically force league champions to move up to the next league. Most of the time the winners of a league just change a couple players and stay at the same level.

Also, they don't honor requests for game times. I know of several times teams have asked to TRY to not be scheduled for late games (10:15) game time, with the understanding that one may be unavoidable, and they end up with multiple late games a season.

Keeps getting harder every year to give the City my money to play....

Forgot, they play 10 and bat 11. I think you an probably have as many as you want on the roster...
