Neither is boston market. The central market near me has an excellent cafe, so do some HEBs.
Kitten, you got me all excited! Damn. I love Boston Market's creamed spinach. I guess we'll have to keep dreaming for a while.
Rotisserie chicken from Readfield is pretty good too

Unfortunately the HEB powers that-be-decided not to include a Cafe To Go at the newest HEB in S. College Station. Not sure why but it sure would have been great. The flame roasted chickens at the HEB in N. Bryan are good though.powerbelly51 said:

On another note, has anyone ever noticed that Boston Market commercials are like Red Lobster commercials? You will never actually see food like that in an actual restaurant by that name. I was so excited to try Boston Market after moving from here in the late 90s since the commercials always aired in this market but I was so disappointed afterward. Haven't missed it after moving back.
I remember when it was called Boston Chicken. I've never eaten it.
I know it's silly, but the food snobs on TexAgs really make me laugh.
I'm always reminded of that idiot that owned the now closed down steakhouse in Bryan a few years ago. He regularly informed everyone that even though they liked the taste of the food at certain restaurants, they didn't know what good food was and weren't intelligent enough to be educated on the subject.
Then wondered why his business suffered.

However the steak house guy was correct. We were the first choice when they decided to expand.

Realzing Boston Market is poor doesn't make one a food snob.
It might if the service and food matched the prices they charged.
And, no, he was not correct. The problem wasn't the people, it was the place, and the owner refused to make changes. However, that's not what was idiotic. What was idiotic was getting on here and badmouthing people for stating their opinions. I know people that have never once posted on here that stopped going there after that because they weren't going to spend their money on a person that treated customers that way.
Same thing with the burger guy.

We went to Doe's one time. I asked for a saiad and the waitress brought me a small bowl of plain lettuce and a couple of packets of ranch dressing. Nothing else. The steak was decent.

The best chicken in BCS is actually at HEB on Tx Avenue and Highway 21. It's called the "Flaming Bird". Not only is it awesome, it is cheap.
It is marinated chicken that is spatchcocked and grilled. For $24 you get 3 chickens, 3 sides, corn tortillas, and grilled onions & jalapenos.
