Looking to replace our windows (might be original 1940s), wife met with Green Igloo this afternoon, just looking for insights/recommendations/warnings etc.

And yes, I searched the thread from last year...

Green igloo - Steven - installed a sliding glass door connecting our bedroom to outdoor patio.

It was a double window. He had to cut out the bottom 4 feet (?) of brick and then install door. Also moved electricity.

Great guy. Reasonable price and worked very clean. Showed up on time and completed the job when he said he would. Would use again.

whatever you do, stay the F away from enercon!!!!! worst experience I ever had with any company.

wouldn't keep multiple appointments
wouldn't call
would say they were coming and wouldn't show up
wouldn't return calls
came completely unprepared when they finally decided to show up
workers left in the middle of the job. one guy said he was sick and needed to leave. his coworker said he wasn't sick it was just payday
left trash EVERYWHERE
installed a window with broken glass
sloppy work
6 months to finish the job

horrible, horrible company. I still get angry every time I hear their commercial on the radio.

Definitely not the same company it once was. Our experience was basically the same and we ended up getting someone else to replace the window. Still get a phone call from them occasionally to pay the bill and our last dealings with them has been 2 1/2 years ago with no work performed. I'm assuming Enercon is no longer owned by the Beard family.

Enercon is the worst.

The Beard family do own it.

The radio commercials make me want to throw up.

The buck stops nowhere with this lying, finger pointing oxygen thieves.
