Have been reading about these two devices and considering a purchase.

One thing that caught my eye in product reviews is that it mentioned their crowd network GPS (that tracks an item that is lost/stolen) relies on a strong community of users (so that as a user passes near your item, it can be identified).

Wondering if anyone here uses one of these, has had good/bad experiences, etc.

You might try the Nerdery board if you don't get many replies here.

I picked Tile because more of my friends were using it and thought that might help if I lost something. Love it so far, but I haven't had it long enough to know how battery life will be.

I use Tile. It's great. If you want, you can let friends link to your Tile to help you find it.

I love my Tile on my keys. I don't really use the crowd thing since I usually lose them in my house and just have to make it beep. It really uses the bluetooth connection to my phone more that the crowd thing in my opinion even when I've had to find them in other places.

My husband got us the TrackR. I like it and it's easy to use the app on your phone to find your keys. Don't spend the extra money to put a picture on it though. We did with one of ours and it's almost completely scratched off within less than three months.

+1 for Tile.

On more than one occasion I received a notification that my phone helped someone locate their lost Tile.

That alone makes me want to stick with Tile.
