Have you guys been into the new Ace Bolt & Screw location? Last time I was in there was before it became a Fastenal, but it was great. Is the new location as awesome as the old one used to be?

If I recall correctly, it's not a Fastenall, but some other brand. Their signage at the new location includes the Ace Bolt and Screw branding as well, so I'm not sure of the story there.

I've been in there once since they reopened at the new location. They have a much larger showroom with more tools, welding equipment, etc.. I didn't browse much but it seemed to be a much better setup than the old location.

Its Fastserv now not fastenal. I live south of town so the Fastenal by tractor supply is more convenient. For bolts Tractor supply by the pound fasteners are the cheapest in town. I know my industrial friends that buy fasteners said FastServ supply went up but their prices went up much more.

I used to buy lots of stuff from Small Parts and of course McMaster Carr. Amazon bought Small Parts and renamed it Amazon supply then Amazon business. If you have prime and they have it in stock many times its the best price/delivery. In the old days Mcmaster ground delivery used to almost always be next day but not as much lately.

What about accessory & bit availability? I'm after some specialty bits & great customer service.

Ordinarily, I'm solidly in the "cheapest available product" camp, but this particular problem needs the absolute best available tools, price be damned.

If you want service stay away from fastenal. It's like the Walmart of the industry. Ace and Mack Bolt are your best choices.

If you are looking for some specialty anchors or fasteners CMC Construction Services on highway 30 has access to many different products. They also stock many SDS & SDS MAX bits 979-314-5060
