Based on the scanner traffic, someone ran over a group of pedestrians at Boyett and University with at least two critical.

One person, a female on her early 20s, is being taken to St. Joseph with "level 1 trauma". The vehicle hit her and then ran over her chest. At least one other person is also being transported, also with a "level 1 trauma." Based on what they said, it sounds very, very dire for the woman. I can hear the sirens since I live not to far away from St. Joseph.

They've also asked for at least one more ambulance.

Asking for the crime scene unit and trying to figure out if they're A&M students so they can notify the University.

This is probably some of the worst I've ever heard discussed on the scanners. The cops sound very, very shaken.

And request for another ambulance.

Some people on Twitter are saying it was two women, others say it was one male and one female, but the police/EMS never gave a description for the second victim that was already transported.

The one thing no one wants to hear.

Police are talking about getting in touch one of the girl's mother to let her know what happened.

They still don't know who the driver was since they took off.

Hit and run? Wow that is horrible.

Thoughts and prayers to victims and hopefully whoever is responsible is caught.

One women one man. Our group was walking right by the area when it happened. It looked very very bad. Say a prayer for the two people.

I heard from someone that they both were alive as of an hour ago. Hopefully that's the case. I'm not positive though, just sharing what I heard for what it's worth.

Thought and prayers! Really puts a football game in perspective

I pray for a full recovery for all involved. We are truly blessed that this is an uncommon occurrence in that area.

Our son was a witness and made 911 call. He called us around 2;00 AM pretty shaken. I'm not going to get into the details but let's pray for all
involved.

News release from College Station police:
On October 21, 2015 between the hours of 2:00 AM and 7:30 AM portions of East and Westbound traffic in the 300 block of University Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic while members of the College Station Police Department Reconstruction Team investigate a recent major accident that occurred in the area.
In addition, Boyett Street will be closed at University Drive and at Patricia. The main entrance to Hullabaloo Residence Hall on Texas A&M campus on University Drive will also be closed; residents leaving the parking lot will have to use a different exit.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area during this time. Once the investigation is complete all roadways and entrances will be open to traffic. The College Station Police Department thanks its citizens in advance for their cooperation.
