Any options for programs for adults needing daycare? We have a family member that has Alzheimer's and, while able to perform normal, basic living activities (washing, dressing, feeding herself), she cannot cook, or initiate any activity. She needs peer interaction, but she doesn't need to be in a home yet, as she is living with us.

Is this a situation where one of the visiting in home services would be good? I think there are several options there, and maybe not so many adult daycare options.

Could the visiting caretaker drive her to the senior citizen association? Or perhaps to a nursing home activity? Just trying to think outside the box with your situation.

I recently heard of a group called Mosaics. Maybe they can help or know someone who can.

I believe City of College Station has senior activity groups in some of the park facilities. You might want to check with them. Also, is there an Alzheimer support group in the area or online that might have similar experiences and solutions?

The med has a senior circle, I'm not sure what it entails but you could call.
