Does anyone know if you need an appointment to take a driving test at the Huntsville DPS office? There's a month wait at the Brazos County office and we were exploring other options. We've tried calling but no one answers.

Most people rave about Brenham, have not heard anything good, bad or indifferent about Huntsville.

Yea, Brenham requires you to make an appointment in person, then it's another month or so wait. Looks like that's how it is all over.

gah sorry, wish I was more help. My son did at Bryan office, only had to wait a few days. Seem like these offices need more people and maybe have all offices you same technique

DPS MegaCenter Pflugerville.
Guess there is one in spring and one rosenberg but the one is Pflugerville it not like going to a typical gubment office.

My sons took their tests in Hempstead. We had to take our paperwork in and make a appointment and we had to wait about a week to take the test. Small office but the people were really nice.

My daughter had an appointment but I think it was like one day after she registered. You can actually call there and talk to someone, schedule anything online and you can reserve your spot in line with txt message.
Got there hour before appointment time and was taken right in.

Thanks! We called but there's a month waiting list there as well.

I'll tell you one thing, the Bryan office is the absolute pits. Those are the rudest group of folks I've had the displeasure of trying to work with.

We used the mega center in Spring. My daughter got her license the first try. You do schedule an appointment, but it didn't take long to get one.

There's a small DPS office on 21 not far from HWY 290. Not sure if they do drivers exams there, but when we drive past it last month the parking lot was pretty empty.

Our son took his driver's test in Grosbeck. easy to make appointment over the phone, and no wait time to speak of once arriving. great experience. About an hour away from Bryan.
