Exactly! I was hoping they would hold off on the announcement for a few more weeks. I was enjoying reading the online hissy fits that they hadn't inked the deal.

If ESPN has their way it won't. That was apparently the hold up the whole time. Suddenlink wanted to charge more, ESPN was saying no.

We got a notice of a new channel line up and it said, among other things, that "E" Entertainment Television would be moving off of channel 29. Don't let it surprise you if SECN ends up on channel 29.

If they do that, they need to move the HD channel closer to the sports channels and not up by BET and the HBO channels.

The SEC Network will be on channel 702 in HD, channel 26 in standard def.

The f-ing LHN will be on 703. Looks like Disney finally forced this abortion down Suddenlink's throats in their new ESPN contract.

The best bet is to log into your Suddenlink account and view the TV lineup PDF for the B/CS area. It was updated on August 7th.

It is part of the Expanded Basic lineup. You won't need a "box" unless you have an old TV without a digital tuner, in which case you'll need to pick up a DTA from the Suddenlink office.

I think not, you have to get the sports package to get espnu but I believe they are saying you don't need the sports package to get secn.

I suspect it will be on 29. Flipping through last night whatever was on that channel had been moved. Just blank now with a message saying that channel had moved. So 27 ESPN, 28 ESPN2, 29 SECN. HDs will likely be 751, 752, and 753.

This is true if you want to see the SEC Network in standard definition. Pretty sure you can't get anything but OTA HD channels without a "box". If you want to watch the SEC Network in HD, you will need a DVR, Tivo or HD cable box.

Right now on my tv channel 26 and 29 is a white screen saying" this channel has moved"

Does that mean I will have SEC Network when it launches?
We just moved and currently the place we live offers suddenlink so I have no clue which package it is.
