We are looking to replace the countertops in a home we are going to be listing soon. We do not want granite or anything fancy. Just something that looks nice, more of a look-a-like granite that is linoleum.

Is my best bet to have a company install this, or would it be to purchase from Lowe's/Home Depot and just find a worker to put it in for me?

Any reviews for local countertop places?

Written agreement of what is to be expected.

Make sure you discuss seams and edges.

Lowe's and HD both offer installation services, but I did it myself and it worked out great. You have to be very, very precise with measurements unless you have them come out to measure.

Formica isn't that much cheaper than granite these days, though. We did the kitchen in formica but the bathrooms (which are small) will be some form of granite/quartz.

Hey Kendall, was Jim Carter in business with his son for awhile? I used them for my pool kitchen and they did great work, but 99.9% of the work was by Jim and the son never returned calls and missed a couple of meetings.
