I'm looking for a small firm who does taxes for small companies.. One that will go out of their way to make sure I know how my taxes are being prepared, that will keep me informed of any tax laws that change over the year, and will also make suggestions what I need to do over the year to benefit my company.
My current CPA lost my taxes three separate times this year. He also said my wife needed to run the company as she is 1/16 th Cherokee and being female has more benefits than I would get. I asked him a month later about that and his response was 'why would u want to do that'?
It was his idea in the first place..
My old accountant would call me three or four times a year to tell me he was changing something or did I know this law was changing or do we want to think about this or that or whatever... He' cared.
He's dead... So I can't go back to him anymore...
