Is anyone else experiencing this problem with Suddenlink TV?

Off and on for the past 3-4 months, I've had trouble on the HD channels with the sound cutting in and out - sometimes just a word or two and other times more. (This doesn't happen at all on the lower channels - just the HD ones.) Suddenlink sent a tech out a 2-3 months ago and put a signal booster (I think that's what they called it) on the TV connection, which seemed to work for a while. The problem began again about 2 weeks ago, and the tech that came out last week took the signal booster off, saying that it was probably causing the problem. I had the same problem again last night, and a tech is supposed to be out this afternoon. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so, were they able to resolve it?

I've honestly been happy with Suddenlink until this issue, but it's making me consider my options if they can't get this problem fixed ASAP. I had Direct TV about 4-5 years ago, and it was fine except when it rained and I had no signal, which is one of the times I'd really like to know what's going on weather-wise. Is that still an issue with Direct TV? What about Dish Network? I have no experience with them. I'd appreciate your suggestions.

Yep been having the same problems.

Worst was the Sunday night of the Breaking Bad finale because it cut out for an entire segment.

I switched to Suddenlink a couple months ago. I have yet to be able to watch ESPN HD due to signal loss, and I don't have time to wait at home for them to come fix it.

I've been whittling away tv services from them over the past year, and with this last one I downgraded to the limited basic- so ALL the channels do the sound cutting out thing. Which really just wants to make me drop it completely for cable services. Reminds me, I called them today and they 'sent a signal' that was supposed to fix it.

Note: Not fond of the new automated system. Just ask for an agent first thing.

Call them. I had major problems and some HD channels weren't even working. They reset my signal and nothing. A guy came out and realized that something in the wiring outside was wrong and fixed it. Been perfect sense. Just call them and tell them to reset your signal or send someone out.

Steve wasn't there a thread a couple of weeks ago about people with satelliite screaming about missing a game due torsion?

I must be incredibly lucky. I have not experienced any problem with my Suddenlink service in years that hasn't been able to be fixed by just unplugging the box and plugging it back in a minute later.

I've had issues where the audio doesn't sync with the video several times. I unplug the box, wait a minute, plug it back in and everything's fine. Sometimes, the picture stretches out beyond the edges of my screen. Unplug, wait, plug back in...fine.

I see all these threads on here about people pissed off at Suddenlink again and I think some people must have bad luck or else I just have good luck.

And would I ever consider switching to satellite? No, thank you. I like to be able to watch television during a light rain.
