I had absolutely no problems with Heath at all, and I worked with him from start to finish on construction. He was very professional, accommodating, and respectful, and responded to every message/phone call (I did get the fastest responses when I communicated via text. Email was the slowest way to communicate, and was generally reserved for things that specifically needed to be in writing). He also went above and beyond to make sure I got a fair appraisal, both when I purchased and when I sold the home (his documentation allowed me to successfully protest the appraisal and get it amended when I purchased the home).
At one point, he came out to the house at a moment's notice (Neighbor had developed a large leak in the main water line, but we couldn't tell where the water was coming from. His plumber fixed the problem the next day). He also was very fair with the pricing of his upgrades. I was charged his cost for upgraded flooring, an dishwasher, faucet, and a few other non-standard items (no builder mark-up). I received a credit at the lighting store for fixtures that I did not need and was able to use the credits to upgrade other fixtures, and he had his crew hang a couple of fixtures I already owned.
Unfortunately, I had to sell that house and move to the Houston area. The builders here are not at all accommodating - huge mark-ups for upgrades and most will not install anything that you do not purchase through them (probably more due to the fact that most of the builders in Houston are actually large corporations and not local, small businesses).
