Are there still any local Krispy Kreme kiosks? I like Shipley's and many of the other local doughnut providers, but sometimes a girl just wants a Krispy Kreme. Even more so now that C-Mac is on a health kick and no longer serving the WT variety.

The closest I've found them is in Bastrop, in a gas station C-Store on the way to the Austin Airport.

Nearest store I've been to is in Ft Worth area, none in Houston
The Shell on the corner of Villa Maria and Carter Creek used to have them, I haven't been in there in over a year so not sure if they still do or not. Maybe call them and see?
San Antonio has one on 281 
my parents used to take us to krispy kreme every sunday before church when we were growing up in SC. stopped into one in houston right before they closed 'em down, and couldn't eat it. shipley's is worlds better.

Are they really that good? I still love my light donuts from Shipleys. Other donuts are too heavy, too breaded.

I think Shipley and DD are both much better than KK. Never understood the KK hype
I know taste is hard to dispute, but I've tried Krispy Kremes three times from three different purveyors and found them awful every time. So I've made my effort and never again!
