When school starts back up, does anyone know of local school running tracks that are open to the public in the evenings Mon-Thu? I know of the one across from CSMS at that park, but am hoping for some other venues as well.

College Station Middle School is the only one I know if that is truly open to the public. Some others are "open", as in not locked, but the public is not welcome.

To me, unless there is a track event, all school tracks should be open for people to walk and run the track every evening until perhaps 10pm.
I agree, Frio. This really surprises me since many communities allow use of tracks for this. Our taxes pay for the facilities. Has anyone ever asked?
Rock Prairie elementary & South Knoll elementary have tracks that are always open.
One of the issues is keeping people off of the playing field. I've seen kids playing soccer on a football field late at night and it wasn't a "sanctioned" game.

I would imagine liability reasons are also a factor into why the tracks aren't open/open as often.
