We have a zone that comes on(electricity and water meter are both running) but the sprinklers themselves are not watering. We have used a couple of places in the past and not been thrilled. Anyone have a sprinkler repair person suggestion?

I used IDC. Phil did not come out, but sent another guy. I had a zone out, but when I made the appointment, asked them to figure out the problem with the zone, and also readjust the heads, or replace, or whatever needed to be done because I had dead spots not receiving water.
The guy fixed whatever was wrong with the zone (didn't tell me in the note), charged about
$ 150 and did NOT do any adjusting of the water direction and did not make any recommendations as to what could be done to fix the system to cover the dead spots.
Prince has done a better job for me in the past, but I don't know how they are now.

I happed to have had the same problem and found that it was a broken head. I called Prince and the lady who answered (Annette?) to ask "about" how much it would cost. I guess she was quite busy (I can expect that) and cut me off a few times when I was trying to explain. I wasn't even needing it fixed today but she thew the "we aren't going to fix it today"..."we don't do quotes"..."you will first pay a service call"... before I was able to finish saying that "Hi, I noticed today..."

Phil! I called you on Friday about a needed repair in Castlegate and haven't heard back yet. I'll call again tomorrow and guess that you've been swamped.

Yes we have negative reviews on the internet. So does every decent-sized business. The facts are that even a 95+ % approval rating (which we have) and an A+ BBB rating (which we have) can't stop a few unhappy people from posting whatever they want on the internet. Google fine local businesses like Champion Firearms and Christopher's World Grille. Chances are you'll see negative reviews. It's a simple fact of life now.

I want to just jump in here and say that the City of College Station offers a free landscape irrigation check-up service to its water customers. A representative will meet with the customer, give basic information about irrigation system operation, tips on water conservation and how to monitor their water use, show how to check for leaks, etc.

It's not meant to replace the services of a Licensed Irrigator, but instead is meant to give the customer more information about how to manage their irrigation system to save water, and know when to call a Licensed Irrigator.

Does any rational person really think this is how the conversation went? I'm just curious.

To follow up, IDC did call me back today. And Dave Prince is definitely a standup guy. I seriously doubt his folks interrupted a first sentence. If I had to deal with customer service over the phone with some people in this town, I'd lose my religion.

I've recently decided that sprinkler system repair, in most cases, is a great candidate for saving $ by DIY.

I just replaced two broken heads and moved a third. Cost me less than $30 in parts, a couple hours of labor. Would have cost about $200 to have someone come do it for me.
