Does anyone know a place in town to buy those cool metal (preferably copper) barn stars to put on a house or fence?

Like this one...

I want to say I've seen them at the co-op.

HEB and LOWES sell them up to 30". They are mild iron with a bronze powder coating on them.

I have seen the bigger ones at the CoOP and at this site http://www.txtraders.com/shop/

I assure you, you do NOT want to buy one of those made out of copper. It would be very, very expensive!

On occasion, Hobby Lobby has western metal art as well. If you sign up for their email list, they usually include a 40% off one item coupon.

They're actually local. They've got some unusual stuff.

They have pages and pages of them.

Do these rust? Would hate to hang one outside and have rust streaks trailing down a few months later.

I have one from HEB that hangs on the eaves over my front door. I've also seen them at Flores Nursery & Gifts on the corner of Hwy 30 and Hwy 90 out in Roans Prairie (across from the Valero). I have a big Texas A&M sign from them that hangs in my front picture window.

I've got a different design that is plain steel with no treatment. I like the color the rust ended up and no rust stains after more than two years.

My HEB sign is coated. Haven't had any issues with rust or staining. In general, they're a good place to find Texas star items. I had some awesome large, square planters with stars inside a rope circle on each side when we lived in CS. Unfortunately, we didn't have room in the moving trailer for them and by the time a friend stopped by the house about 5 hours later to pick them up for me, someone had stolen them.
