Like the title says, I want to start a local Parkrun. From their website: "parkrun organise free, weekly, 5km timed runs around the world. They are open to everyone, free, and are safe and easy to take part in." I've been in touch with the US coordinator. I think that this would provide a service to our large community of runners and make BCS part of an international community.

If you're interested in volunteering at one of these, participating or helping me get set up initially, reply in the comments. I'm especially interested in those with experience in coordinating races and anyone with information on possible sponsorships.
