I know this has probably been discussed before, but what happens to cardboard that is picked up by the city during bulk trash pickup? Does it get recycled? Would it be better for me to take my cardboard somewhere else so it will get recycled? If so, where?

There is a recycling drop spot on Adriance Rd. on west campus at A&M.

Also there is the recycling drop off point in front of the Bryan Wal-Mart.

Cardboard in CS goes to the dump, unless things have changed in the last few years.

rc, the above posters are correct. Unfortunately we are not able to collect cardboard for recycling at this time. There are however several locations throughout Bryan and College Station that accept it for free! Including one that will actually pay you for it named EcoBox, they are located by the Bryan Post Office.
