Yeah you got to check out Cake Junkie, www.cake-junkie.com, I picked up a strawberry cake last weekend for a party and everyone was asking where we go it from. It was really amazing!

I also noticed the other day they received like a 98 on their health inspection, so that's always a good thing.

Would NOT recommend Cake Junkie. Bad experience with their cupcakes last week and their customer service today.

I bought some German Chocolate cupcakes last Friday...I had them before and really liked them. But this time they tasted like several day old regular chocolate cupcakes with a little (very little) coconut-pecan frosting thrown on top of regular chocolate frosting.

Went back by their store today with all the uneaten cupcakes (only ate a bite out of 1) to let them know that I was unhappy with the cupcakes. The counter girl talked to the manager/owner (not sure who) and said to tell me to call beforehand next time and request that they make some for me. The owner/manager wouldn't even come to the counter to talk to me about it. I walked out leaving the uneaten cupcakes on the counter. Will never go there again.

I haven't been that pleased with Cake Junkie either. Their customer service is nothing to brag about for sure. I went in with my kids for cupcakes last week, and the young counter girl was assisting someone asking about cakes. I stood there for almost 5 minutes before the lady in the back came to help me, she was facing me directly the entire time decorating a cake. "We'll be right with you" would of atleast been nice, but she just let me stand there and said nothing until she was ready to come over.

I really like their mint cupcakes, but would like to taste a little more mint in their icing.

The Little Debbie cupcakes were way too rich and I love chocolate!! We couldn't even finish it.

rats. i have only had a cupcake from the cruiser, but took some cake balls as a gift to someone...hope they didn't suck!

I am sorry you were not happy with you cupcake order last week. When you brought the cupcakes in today (a week later) and talked to our bakery assistant, the only complaint you had was that the cupcakes did not have enough german chocolate icing on them. I am not sure how you came to a conclusion that the cupcakes tasted like they were several days old, as there were no bite taken from any one of the cupcakes????

As you can see from the picture below (after we recovered the cupcakes from the bottom of our trash can when seeing this negative post), only one cupcake is missing icing and the other two look to have a normal amount of icing. Please excuse the look, as these cupcakes are a week old and were smashed in a box at the bottom of our trash can. I just wanted to show proof with this picture.



Furthermore, the only reason the manager asked that you call prior to coming in was so that we could add extra icing to your cupcakes compared to what we keep in our cases, not to bake fresh ones as our cupcakes are made daily.

Again, we are sorry you were not satisfied but please know we are not in business to stiff our customers on cupcakes or any of our other items. We try our best every day to put a smile on our customer’s faces.

I apologize for our customer service during your recent visit to the bakery. Many times, our decorators in the back are knee deep in icing, fondant work or are seriously in concentration with a cake they are decorating. So if they are needed up front, it takes a little more time for them to stop what they are doing to come up and assist.

Plus with it being the summer months, we cut back on our bakery assistants as business is normally slower. And when we have people in taking cake orders, it may be a little wait. I promise, if we could stay full staffed all year, it would be much better for everyone(employees and customers). But if we want to be in business for the long run, we have to cut back on our expenses during slow periods as well. Please know this will be discussed in our next team meeting and hopefully all will be better on your next visit.

Again, feel free to email first if you ever have a complaint about Cake Junkie. We take complaints pretty personal.

It is always great to hear compliments as well from the many of you that we have taken care of. And we thank you for your continued business.

Cake Junkie - If your cupcakes are baked daily, you are doing something terribly wrong. I have purchased cupcakes from your establishment twice and both times they were very, very dry.

Your frostings, however, are devine!

I've gotten two cakes from Cake Junkie and both were delicious, and the people inside were very friendly each time I've gone in.

On both occasions, we purchased a mixture of flavors. The first occasion we ordered 2 of each... White cake with white buttercreme, chocolate cake with white buttercreme, red velvet, lemon creme and carrot cake.

The second occasion was the same, minus the lemon creme and carrot cake.

I did mention that they were dry, and I definitely did take a bite out of one. Yes, my primary complaint was the very small amount of German chocolate frosting vs. the large amount of regular chocolate frosting. The first time I had them there was no regular chocolate frosting (or it was so very little that I didn't notice it). The frosting was the main reason for getting that flavor of cupcake. Also, the cupcakes were not ordered, they came out of the display case...maybe that was the problem.

I tried to resolve this in the store first, before I came to myBCS, but unfortunately the manager (or whoever it was) couldn't take the time to come to the counter to talk to me. If they would have showed even a little concern I most likely wouldn't have posted anything.

Went to an anniversary party last weekend and the cake that was served was wonderfully delicious. It was a white cake with raspberry filling and it came from Cake Junkie. Everyone was thrilled with the looks of the decorated cake plus the taste. Would definitely go to Cake Junkie for my next cake.

BTW---I forgot to mention that the cake from Cake Junkie was very moist. Not just my opinion since everyone else thought so too.

Steffany at Peace, Love, & Cakes makes a phenomenal strawberry cake and it is 100% from scratch with real strawberries. I'm sure she could do a pineapple one also. Search for her on facebook.

I have been happy with every item (special order cakes and cupcakes, cake balls, and petit fours from the case) I have had at Cake Junkie.

I agree that sometimes it would be nice if someone would acknowledge me when I come in, even if it's to say "We'll be right with you," but that has nothing to do with whether the cake is good. I go to get cake to get cake.

I also like knowing their kitchen is inspected regularly by the health department.
