Edited to add Linus's story...

A week after I adopted Linus locally, he had a tumor removed from his lower eyelid and received stitches for a torn ear. This was in addition to his neutering. On top of that, he began heartworm treatment because he tested positive. A week later he took on a dose of anti-inflammatory medicine for a limp he incurred after falling off the bed while sleeping. A few days later his eye got infected because his eyelid hadn't quite healed from the tumor removal.

I am happy to report that Linus has been with me for eight weeks and hasn't been to the vet in three weeks. He's happy, has put on a couple of pounds, and REALLY LOVES PLAYING WITH BALLS.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they'd like to kill me in my sleep. They're still the cutest dogs I know.
