Ok, I have about as much candle-making experience as I do of ballet, so forgive me for asking a "is the monitor turned on?" question: You have looked in Hobby Lobby & JoAnn's for candle wax, correct?

I want to remember that there was a place that had DIY bath stuff, which, again if memory serves, sometimes can be used with candle-making? Not sure if any such shop survived the Great Recession, though.

Hope you find some, candle-making is some cool art.

Not a fan of beeswax, especially in mason jars. We use soy 444 and 3 tbsp of stearic acid per pound and 1 oz essential oil per 1lb wax. We use kerosene dipped tip and wax coated 1/8 round lamp wicks. They flicker and burn quicker than most 16oz candles, but they also put off more light and scent. When you are making them at home, it's not a bad deal.

That is through whom I currently get fragrance. Cheapest place ie found online is amazon.com 5 lb soy 444 bag for 7.3 plus shipping. They only charge 5.49 for hopping regardless of the weight.

They beat the other prices we have found by 25-50+%
