Does anyone know someone who can remove a dead tree efficiently for an honest price?

A dead one.

I have a big lathe i make bowls on and am always willing to help cut down a tree if i can take the wood home.. just not oak... not good wood to turn..

tough to find any reasonably priced tree removal services because the insurance requirements on this profession are significant.

Now to pick on Mom! (and I love momlaw) Why do you need a Master Arborist to remove a dead tree? Isn't that like asking a cartioligist to do an autopsy?

We used professional tree service and it was under 300 to remove one large dead tree and several smaller ones.

ya know.. I was trying to be nice and help a person out... I offered to haul off the majority of a tree for free for RECYCLING..

But all you did was poke fun at me and make me look stupid..

Is it in a bad or awkward place? I'm sure you could find a bonfire crew to bring it down.

This was from a piece of trash lumber someone threw out on the side of the road..

studioone - Do you have the ability to cut a large chunk of tree into disks? When we took out a tree late last spring, I saved a big piece to make patio table tops, but I don't have a chainsaw long enough to actually cut all the way through it.

Power equipment and studioone is not a good thing.
His liability insurance goes up everytime he turns on his lathe.
