What is the distance of the main trail/sidewalk that circles the subdivision?

Ron, you can download and install Google Earth (free). It has a lot of nice features, including the ability to measure distance. We even use it to calculate square footage/acres with a little utility.

Ron, a few years ago I used MapyMyRun.com to measure it, I'll see if I can dig it up out my map logs...

My Garmin says 2.2 miles

Somewhere between 2.2 and 2.5 I've done it on my bike, and several GPS things.

I run this trail almost every day. According to my Garmin, it is 2.17 miles. I start at the "Realm of Birmingham" and head up Castlegate Drive towards the park, continue around the front lake and around the trail that parallels Hwy 40, then turn up on Victoria and back onto Castlegate Drive.

Thanks. I figured it was about 2.2, but I had heard different measurements and wanted to make sure.

I was also going to bust out the GPS program(s), but I knew that TexAgs knew stuff...

Just mapped the trail using mapmyrun.com (cool site, btw) and it shows 2.14. So I guess anywhere from 2.14 to 2.2 would be about right.

Sometimes I get 2.15 miles. I figured I take the turns a bit wider at times. For my longer runs, I add in realm runs. Stone Castle Circle, Newark Circle, and Kendal Green Circle are all about 0.5 mile each. Running two mile circles gets a bit boring when I need to get in more than 10 miles.

See you on the trails!

Yeah, I just remapped it using more detail and it came out to 2.15 mi. I'm just slogging along right now, so that's enough for me.
