In an effort to improve customer service to our citizens, the College Station Police Department is pleased to announce that accident reports will now be available online. The department is working with PoliceReports.US to provide this online service. PoliceReports.US services 101 Texas agencies to provide this service and allows the public, and their insurance companies, the flexibility of receiving reports online and will eliminate the need for individuals to travel to the Police Department to obtain an accident report.

Any non-fatal accident that occurred after May 1, 2011 can be accessed by going to http://collegestationtx.policereports.us/. A link to this site is also available on the College Station Police Department website http://www.cstx.gov/police . The fee for this service is $6, which is the same amount that an individual would pay to obtain the report in person at the police department. Most reports will be available within 1-2 business days however; some accident reports may require additional time to process. Reports are kept in the system for over three years from the date of the incident. For accidents that occurred prior to May 1st, persons wishing to obtain copies of the reports must still visit the CSPD Records Division between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday.

Will this include "green sheets" or will it only be MVA?

We have actually been doing this for years and years.

All press releases are posted on the right side of the PD Home Page www.cstx.gov/police

Cruise through the website - lots of good info.

Only non-fatal MVA reports - not really sure what you mean by "green sheet"?

The old TxDoT non-injury accident reporting forms were on pale green paper, hence "green sheet".

Used where the parties needed a form for insurance purposes, but no citation was issued (and, obviously, on injury occurred).

Blue forms are self-reporting forms that are filled out by the drivers and submitted directly to TXDOT. They can be downloaded at the link below.

capn-mac - the "green" is what confused me. The non-reportable forms have been blue for at least 16 years - thus we call them "blue forms" - original right??? LOL

Will the fire department be putting their incidents on-line also?

No - and at this point all we will have available online are accident reports. Anything else you will have to come to the PD for.

Not really sure what type of report the FD would provide? Most of their stuff is medical related and therefore confidential.

When I heard we would be doing this I figured it would be especially great for insurance agents.

CSPD has been posting superior! significant activity logs for a long, long time.

Making accident reports available online is just one more service CSPD provides its citizens.

Great PD!
