Ike's
Ike's is good, but they do not work on all brands.
We just got ours fixed at Ike's this week. They were great!

Its off of 6 in north Bryan on the feeder. They had excellent service and the labor/hour is slightly cheaper than Ike's.
I've never been to Ike's and have nothing bad to say about them, I just had a great experience at Washington County Tractor.

I found Bob's Small Engine down the road from Lonny's and he had me fixed up in 2 hours, and everything runs like a champ.

In general, what are the prices for a repair like this? (I know you can't say without knowing what is wrong, but just a price range). I have a simple push mower (not self-propelled) that stopped working yesterday with about 1 minute of mowing left in my yard. I tried everything and I couldn't get it started. Today, it started up on the first try without me having to even prime or use the choke, so I don't need the repair yet...but yesterday got me curious about prices.
...and now it broke again.

My experience with Bob (and Earl) has been just the opposite. Weeks and weeks of waiting and phone calls.
Watch this video on lawnmowers that will start and stop. Most likely dirty jets. Very easy to fix. You need a wrench and a piece of wire (smaller in diameter than a paper clip).
It takes about 15 minutes to fix and skill level is low.
