Anyone been there? Where is it located?

It is right next to Whiskey Charlies in the Kroger shopping center on Southwest Parkway & Texas, where I think HoneyBaked Ham used to be.

I was there for lunch today. The food & service is WAY better than Spice Bowl but I was disappointed to find out that during lunch it's buffet only and therefore no ordering from the menu. I can avoid that easily by going at dinnertime, so that's when I'll be going next!

It's very good. I love the Chicken Tikka Masala, Aloo Mutter, and Naan. I've been back 3 times since they opened, but still haven't tried the lunchtime buffet- they were too crowded the time I went for lunch.

For those that aren't very familiar with indian food, they have a "first timer's special" that includes a lot of stuff. It worked out as a great intro for my husband- he discovered that he's a big fan of Sambar and Gulab Jamun, which I never would have thought.

excellent food a la carte.

the buffett is just ok.

yes, i agree....they need to start allowing people to order off the menu a la carte during lunch hours.

Good food and BYOB...we are right next door...just saying
StringerBell

is it really byob?
WhiskeyCharlie

Yes BYOB. They don't have a liquor or beer license and Ravi (the owner) is all for letting you bring in. We had a guy buy egg nog to have with his lunch. Strange yes, but what ever floats your boat. "Hoppy" beers and Pinot Grigios are good with Indian food

Awesome. That is great news.

I've probably eaten there like 10 times since it's opened.

So glad we have an Indian restaurant in town.

to be fair, we've had one for years, it was just mediocre at best.
StringerBell

The term mediocre is far too generous for that place.

We went the other night and waited over an hour for our food and finally got up and walked out. We will never go back

There menu items at dinner take a little longer to make, but it is well worth the wait. The lunch buffet is good as well.

Been several times, it is so awesome to have a great Indian Food place here!

We stopped in for lunch on Christmas Eve. There were a couple of people at another table and some folks getting their food to go. The staff was very attentive and the food was really good. Definitely plan to go back soon!

What would you guys recommend me getting if I've never had indian food before and dont even know what it is really?

As a basis.. I love Thai, Vietnamese, sushi, anything with curry, etc.

I know they have very little in common, but I thought I'd let yall know my taste palette.

cant go wrong with the chicken tikka masala.

ask them to turn up the heat a bit on it, because it's typically not a spicy dish.

that's probably the best starter indian dish out there.

Me and the wife went for Christmas day and the buffet was great as usual. The Ginger chicken is another good beginners dish. Also try samosas for an app, they are very good at Taz

I absolutely loooooove samosas. So much that I make them at home cuz I crave them!

I would recommend trying the buffet first and trying the different dishes. Then you can get kind of an idea what you like or don't like. I think they also have a "beginner's platter" you could try.

I like the chicken masala, chicken tikka, saag/palak paneer, chicken vindaloo, aloo mutter and I think the REALLY spicy chicken we had was what they called "Chicken 65."
