So I drove to Houston today and I noticed the Westward Ho Exit for the first time. What's up with that? Is it relatively new? It's before Millican. TIA.

It has been there since the highway opened. That road has been there for decades

It has been there forever. I always wondered who or what it was.

Don't think it's had a big huge exit sign all that long though.

Westward Ho is a residential road off highway 6. It has been there along time. The street sign was there when the road was undivided. We worked several accidents in that area. Once the highway was re-done and divided. That made this an exit. When people see "WESTWARD HO" they say, were did that come from

Thanks CR! That makes sense, and explains why it seemed "new" to me.

It's less confusing if you insert a comma after "Westward".

HTH.

I went down it once out of curiosity. I can say you are not missing much.

CRservices, what do you mean by "worked a lot of accidents there"? Just curious.
