What to do with old axles and struts?

This is a weird question, I guess, but I have some old CV joints, axles, and struts that I need to get rid of. I feel bad just chunking that much metal into the dump, though. Any suggestions on a better way to get rid of them? Perhaps a metal recycling place?

Bryan Iron & Metal is your best bet, but you won't get much. Maybe one of the auto parts places or mechanics shops?

Auto parts might give you the 'core' return for the parts. I would call and ask.

These are custom parts, so no core charges. I'll check out the place in Bryan. I don't care about the money, I just hate to see big chunks of nice metal go to waste.

There are a lot of people that pick up metal for free and take it to Bryan Iron. Some poorer people make their living that way. Might try putting it on Craigslist.

Yes, I've been to Bryan Iron and Metal many times as well. It is a great business and most people selling are just like you and I making a buck off old junk. The crack head comment was sarcasm as I've only witness that one of my several trips there. Sorry if anyone was offended by that comment.

I laughed at the crack head comment. Sadly, it is true. At least for meth.

Had 2 boneheads steal 6 burn barrels from my property just to sell them as scrap. Police report indicated they stole then sold them for Meth. It was their 6th arrest for the same thing.

We use the scrap metal to sell and every other month or so we BBQ for the employees. If you dont want to make the drive to north bryan you can drop them off at allen honda and throw them in the scrap pile.

Matter offact come today and you can eat some BBQ we cooked today. 3 briscuits and 10 links of suasage.

Cool, that is perfect. I will have to miss out on the BBQ today, but thanks for the offer. But I will definitely drop the goods by at some point in the near future!

If you live in College Station, just put them on the curb the night before your heavy trash pick up day. The local scavengers will pick them up before morning, guaranteed.
