Enrolling our 4 year old for the fall at either Powersports or Brazos Valley Gymnastics. Any parents have advice on which one worked best for them and why?

Powersports. Easily the best in town.

We never tried Brazos Valley Gymnastics.

My son started at about that age at Powersports and we were pleased for the most part.

We moved to BCS Gymnastics when he started competing and were much more impressed with the training for competition....something to keep in mind if he becomes that interested.

Jim and Julie Fought (owners of Brazos Valley) were my coaches when I was a kid (I was 7!) and now both my 3 and 6 years old go there. So its pretty cool to have that connection all these years later. Its a great atmosphere. Jim and Julie love and encourage each kid! They are also building a new building out of Hwy 30.

I dont have any experience with Powersports other than some parties that I have attended. They do have nice equipment.

My 2.5 yr old daughter has gone to Powersport's Mother's Day Out program this summer. She loves her "class".

We've enrolled her in the beginning gymnastics program for the fall.

I don't have experience with BV - but Powersports is a great organization.

We've done both. Powersports to me had our kid walking around with a carpet square and sitting on it until it was his turn to work with a coach. Usually was a group of about 7-10 kids. We stopped going since our child didn't really enjoy it.

Our second child we took to Brazos Valley Gymnastics and our 7 yr old is now competing in competitions. The child/coach ratio is great and they give lots of attention and instructions. My child loves the coaches and learned so much. Also they are building a new facility that's suppose to open really soon.

We have been a part of just about every program Powersports offers since my daughter was 3. She's 10 now. They have a great facility and caring coaches. They are busy with a lot of classes, but usually keep the group sizes to one coach-6 students. I think they have no problem with your child sitting in on a class before you decide.
